Recap of the "Back To School" Initiative at Élibou 2, a rural area near Abidjan for Supporting Children's Education in Côte d'Ivoire

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the NGO Kids’ House held a special event in Élibou 2, a village located at PK65 on the northern highway of Côte d'Ivoire, to support children’s return to school. In partnership with Tractafric Motors Côte d’Ivoire and the brand CHERY, this "Back To School" initiative enabled 102 children to start the 2025-2026 school year under the best conditions, reinforcing access to quality education in rural areas.


Concrete Actions for Academic Success and Social Inclusion

The day focused on several key activities to promote education for children in rural communities:

  • Distribution of complete school kits for students from CP1 to CM2: books, backpacks, water bottles, boots, and essential school supplies for the new school year.

  • Revamping of the Kids’ House social library, the NGO’s first social library, with new books and educational materials to encourage reading and learning.

  • Reading sessions and educational games organized within the library to stimulate the children’s intellectual development.

  • A sharing moment with a meal, bringing together children, parents, teachers, and local community members.

These initiatives highlight Kids’ House’s strong commitment to promoting inclusive education and improving learning conditions in rural and peri-urban areas of Côte d'Ivoire.


A Strong Partnership for Education in Côte d'Ivoire

This event was made possible thanks to the financial and logistical support of Chery International, represented in Côte d'Ivoire by Tractafric Motors. Their engagement in education directly contributes to improving school infrastructure and the well-being of children in disadvantaged communities.

We also warmly thank the director of the EBENEZER school in Élibou 2, the village chief, parents, and community leaders for their collaboration and support.
